The Le Mans chassis is one of the most iconic models produced by Parolin Racing Kart. It’s mainly composed of CrMo seamless steel tubes that have a 30 mm diameter, with the exception of the 32 mm cross tube at the front. Parolin Racing Kart exploits a completely automated process of pipe cutting and welding, with the aim of delivering a consistent level of quality and performance of the chassis. The standard configuration of the Le Mans kart is ideal for a track with medium grip levels, as the 30 mm longerons generate a beneficial torsional behaviour for the direct drive categories. Moreover, the front-end setup can also be adapted to the track conditions thanks to the different types of bars that can be mounted and to the possibility of working on the chassis’ front height, altering the steering sensitivity with three technical solutions available. A rear bar can be applied as well, in order to boost the chassis’ stiffness.
The innovative Easy Caster system is a standard feature of the Le Mans model, granting the opportunity of making fast and independent adjustments both to the caster and to the camber. Another distinctive sign of all Parolin chassis is the adjustable steering column support, which enables a rapid adjustment of the Ackermann angle. This solution provides a wide range of options to modify the front-end setup, with the goal of adapting to a wide range of circuits and driving styles.
The black aluminium pedals provide outstanding adaptability, suiting drivers of all heights and offering customisable pedal sensitivity. The footrest is made of black anodised aluminium too and is also knurled to ensure greater grip. Furthermore, it can be adjusted in four different positions, while an additional pedal board is available for the smallest drivers.
Just as the majority of the Le Mans chassis’ components, the braking system is entirely built by Parolin Racing Kart. The radial caliper attachment features increased rigidity and decreased torsion, while the cast iron, self-ventilated and floating brake discs are designed to improve braking efficiency and adapt to the direct drive driving style. The brake pump with the oil recovery tank is machined from a solid aluminium block and characterised by a 22 mm piston inside. A lever is fastened to the rod that is connected to the brake and offers four anchoring positions, therefore providing drivers with a wider range of options in order to satisfy their braking preferences.
Parolin Racing Kart has also worked on the aerodynamic aspect of the Le Mans model, being aware of its importance. Thanks to detailed aerodynamic studies and wind tunnel testing, the Italian company developed the Dynamica fairings, with the objective of boosting aerodynamic efficiency. The new bodywork is conceived to optimise the air flows directed towards the engine and the radiator, while reducing turbulence.
Finally, the Le Mans chassis is equipped with the new Eurostar wheels, which measure 132 mm and 212 mm. Developed with the direct experience and technical expertise of Parolin Motorsport, these innovative accessories are made of magnesium and are entirely produced in Italy. The icing on the cake with regard to the components of the Le Mans kart is represented by the steering wheel, which is characterised by padding on the sides in order to improve grip and facilitate driving.
